With all the shade and woodland perennials available
today, we grow a unique variety of cold hardy
plants,
evergreen and deciduous, that are drought tolerant,
low maintenance and easy to grow.
Many of the types
we chose to grow are quite amazing. One is the
Kurabayashii Trillium with large
captivating blooms
of vibrant deep purple-red flowers contrasting with
beautiful mottled wavy leaves. Another is the fern
'Polystichum
setiferum plumoso-multilobum' which
is quite a mouthful. (Plumed Soft Shield Fern) is
the
common name. A cold hardy evergreen resembling a
small green conifer. The dense multi-tiered fronds
emerge white, putting on a show as they unfurl from
spring to fall. This spectacular fern is eye
catching,
easy to grow and adapts well in any shade garden.
